Clinical studies on Cefmetazole (Cefmetazon^(®)) in Orthopedic Surgery V

Abstract
|
|
|
Systemic administration of Cefmetazole was performed against infections in the orthopedic field. The following results were obtained.
1. 24(96%) of total 25 cases have shown satisfactory clinical effects after administration of Cefmetazcle. 5(83%) of 6 cases with infection group (Group I)
2. Bacteriologically, 4 strains of S. aureus, 1 strain of S. marcescens and 2 strains of Ps. aeruginosa w re isolated from foci in Group I. They were all eradicated by administration of Cefmetazole except 1 s ´n of Ps. aeruginosa
3. No severe side effects ascribable to Cefmetazole occurred.
